1. What if I cannot afford the tuition fee for a seminar? Is there scholarship help?

Yes, our policy is that any dad who wants to come to a seminar should come and not be held back because of financial constraints. Either the host organization or Great Dads will provide the necessary scholarship assistance needed. Just let us know your need. We do ask that everyone attending a seminar make some contribution so they will have some “ownership” of the experience.

2. Can I be assured that my donation to Great Dads will be used to further its vision of seeing the hearts of fathers turn to their children?

Yes. Great Dads is a member of the Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability. This group is one of the country’s top “watchdogs” of nonprofits. Its membership seal is the “Good Housekeeping” seal of approval equivalent, meaning that the nonprofit has met a rigorous set of financial accountability standards each and every year.

3. If I just want to invest a few hours in becoming a “Great Dad”, what would be the best use of my time?

The most effective use of your time would be to take the 4 hour seminar – either attend a live one in your area or order the Personal Great Dad Kit, which is basically the “seminar-in-a-box”. You need to develop your own personally authored Action Plan for Being a Great Dad which will then serve as your guide for the rest of your fathering journey. Also, your children will be thrilled when they receive from you the Commitment Pledge that you will always love, encourage and care for them.

4. How does Great Dads’ fatherhood training differ from other nonprofits training fathers?

Great Dads has 7 distinctives:

1. Heart knowledge is the essence of our seminars
2. The lifelong Commitment Pledge each father gives each child
3. The Action Plan for Being a Great Dad that each dad develops
4. The Action Teams where dads meet together to put the 6 Basics into action.
5. Associates constitute the core infrastructure
6. Long-run partnerships with seminar host organizations
7. Informal alliances with local and national organizations
